Building IkoCiti – a Peoples’ Impact platform – designed to eradicate GenPoverty oftentimes means evaluating what other people are already doing because we are a multi-marketplace that brings people together to collaborate on true social change. We are always on the lookout for people (organizations) with great apps, products, or even opinions. A couple of days ago I read a post from a woman with an educated opinion.

MY (EDITED) RESPONSE

I am fascinated by your words. At first look, I agree with everything you write. It sounds so right but I think you are fundamentally wrong. The words you express might gain sympathy from many. I might get you clients for your business. But what it does not offer is a solution for the world.

Your thinking is jailed in the Race Prison. You (and others) keep trying to explain things from a non-existent perspective – there are no (genetic) races. In other words, on the nature side of things, there are no fundamental differences between people.

Words like white, black, or people of color are being used without being defined carefully. Are you white? Am I a person of color? Or a brown person or a light-brown person? Why am I not a black person? Or a white person?

If you (anybody of us) cannot answer these questions, then why are we continuing the fraud of (genetic) racial identities? Especially, since it helps 'White' Racists With Power to continue poisoning our minds. The concept of Race is oxygen to the ideology of White Supremacy. Without the concept of genetic races, White Supremacy cannot exist – it loses its core foundation.

The century-long indoctrination of White Supremacy is so successful that even those vehemently opposing it, cannot define a world without non-existent races. Just as an exercise - just for fun - try categorizing people without race or ethnicity.

Taking away RACE does not delete or diminish the lynching's, Apartheid, Jim Crow, Slavery, or Christians saying that people with darker skin are punished by God. It is all there as proof of premeditated human immorality and evil. But what it does, is take away the core foundation of a highly successful but utterly fraudulent ideology (strategy) called White Supremacy and its spin-off Rudyard Kiplings’ White Man’s Burden.

THE ORDER OF THINGS

The only way to fight the white supremacy ideology is to reject the concept of race. And you know what, science is backing me up on that since even before I was born. And - my friends - is a long, long time ago. Still, everybody keeps using race as a way to order the world. Race is a foundational pillar in the way we organize the world in our heads.

Racists and anti-racists embrace it with equal intensity as they base their whole identities on it. Taking away the concept of race probably makes them feel helpless.

I think that it is also why the TRANS topic is so emotional. We grew up believing in the two-of-kind reality of the world: women and the other group of thugs. We love simple and clear divisions even if it is not true. Better to live the illusion then to see the world As-Is.

CHAOS OF THE NEW

True social change needs a new way of thinking in which old assumptions, beliefs, and truths are simply forgotten. The tragedy of this world is that even social-change-seeking people are unable to liberate themselves from their mental prisons. They are not ready, able, or willing to enter the chaos phase of the New. At IkoCiti, we aim to create that new order of thinking but the challenge is to build an unbiased world with biased people.

True social change is not a Minnie Riperton song [here]; it is sometimes mentally as painful as extracting a dirty bullet from your gut with a switchblade. Not being able to fall back on old concepts is like a 9-year-old boy hearing his parents are going to divorce and he has to move to the East of Siberia.

True social change is not a 2-week course, a social app, or freelancers pitching opinions. True social change is a long process of adjusting to a new way of looking at the world. True social change begins with liberating yourself. Free yourself and true social change happens.
